Son of Arthur J and Hilda M Edwards, of Beech Hill Park, Waltham Abbey, Essex; husband of Mrs. E M. Heseltine (formerly Edwards), of Hawking Down, Hindon, Wilts

Capt Edwards was the adjutant of the Royal Wilts Yeomanry between 1912 and 1915 before being recalled to the 9th Lancers in March 1915. He was an England International Polo player and a keen huntsman. He had the Polo pitch at Lowden and lived at Elmhurst, Rowden Hill with his wife. Elected vice-president of the Chippenham Town FC in August 1912 and was vice-president of Chippenham Sports Club.

His wife remarried EM Heseltine of Hawkins Down, Hindon, Wilts
