Notes

Died form TB following discharge from the Army with that illness. His grave was recognised as a war grave by the CWGC in 2015. Prior to enlisting, he was employed as a labourer in the Signal Works. There is some evidence that although he enlisted in 1914, he never actually served overseas and released to civilian work.
