Robinson had been discharged on 12 Dec 1915. the 3rd Gloucs were based in Gravesend at the time.

His grand daughter supplied the following details.

My late father told me he came home from the 1st world war and put into hospital in Bath. My father remembered waving to him from the street. He died suddenly in the hospital. Alice Beard Robinson lived in St Mary's Street. She was left with 4 boys and a girl, Wilfred, Cecil, ,Victor, Kenneth and Winifred. My father, the eldest had to help support the family aged about 14. He was buried in a shared un marked grave in Chippenham cemetery.
